Mark 4:35-41, narrates an incident about the journey of Jesus with His disciples. (That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.”) Without a warning a furious squall comes up, and the waves break over the boat, so that it is nearly swamped; we find Jesus asleep on a cushion in the midst of this tragic situation and the disciples decide to wake Him and notify Him about the danger (as if He didn’t knew), they say “Teacher, don’t You care if we drown?”
It’s in deed a fact that His disciples weren’t new to the arena of the rough sea or the waves, but since this wasn’t something they had ever witnessed to in their lifetime, they were terrified. And knowing this beforehand we see, the one who planned accompanies them, not just for a mere trip but rather for the appointed storm. He acknowledges our times of sufferings and defeat: the one who brought you to it is mighty to bring you through it. He is the El-Shaddai.
God accomplishes what He appoints for the appointee, you need not to be able-bodied but available, cause He acquaints us and never abandons us in the trials of our life. Know that He accredits those strong winds and those huge waves too, they are meant to accelerate you to the goal and not to adjourn your blessings. Stay anchored on His purpose for your life and accentuate not on the storm but on the God who allowed the storm. Cause when our focus is stuck on the problems of our life we are sure to miss out the presence of the ALMIGHTY GOD in the storm (Vs. 38).
Invite the Lord into the boat of your life long before you even begin your voyage and not when the destructive waves strike in.
Have a good day
