Are we really aware of the ultimate plan God has in store for all humanity? Are we really walking on His direction?!
In Genesis, we read God plans to create man in His own image and in His own likeness. He is pleased to bless them. Unfortunately, by partaking of the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, the man and woman whom God formed for the ultimate plan choose a way different than what God had planned for them. It was like walking away from the path of life (Tree of Life) and signing a treaty with death and separation from God.
For the redemption of mankind, God being a loving and gracious Father, justified us by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith (Romans 3: 24,25).
John says in 3:16- “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” It isn’t to flourish or grow as “something” or “someone” in this journey on this planet, but to receive an everlasting life- a fullness of life through His love. God wants us to be called children of God and that is what we are! So that We shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is when He appears (1 John 3: 1,2). And the Scripture says, everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself just as He is pure. Biblical standard of purity can’t be set side by side to any human standard- it shouldn’t be a friend or fellow believer or parents nor a priest.
Here is where we need to be careful! God has called us for a purpose, as all runners in a stadium race, but only one receives the prize likewise, many are called, but few chosen, the last will be first, and the first last. So, it is we who need to decide whether to run in such a way to win the prize or race halfway and be amongst the ones who were just there in the list.
God wants us to be partakers in His divine nature, of a divine family- to be called God’s children. But when we thwart and restrain the acts of the Holy Spirit and grieve the Holy Spirit who actually enables us to live a righteous and faithful life- we sin and fall short of the glory given to us (John 17:22), like Adam chose Tree of good and evil over Tree of Life. Let not our hearts be troubled and let’s not be the leftovers but like Reinhard Bonnke desired ‘I want heaven full, hell empty’, Let’s work together effectively and efficiently for the good.
Read the scripture, walk with His Holy Spirit, add more fuel to your prayer life- prepare the checklist of all things to do to make sure you succeed to “take off.”
Have a great day!
