Key Verse: Nehemiah 2:11, “So I came to Jerusalem and was there three days.”
As soon as Nehemiah received permission from the king, he started his journey to Jerusalem. He never looked for substitutes. Instead, he took the initiative to carry out the burden on his heart. He crossed “beyond the river”. There will always be a barrier between your plans and its execution. It can be your attitude, ego clash or the lack of confidence in yourself. Cross over it, with the strength of the LORD. Just like faith without action is dead, plans without action brings good to none.
Nehemiah came to Jerusalem -full of passion, full of commitment, full of faith and full assured of GOD’s guidance and still did nothing for three days. We need to slow down a bit and maintain quietness for a while before taking any step. We don’t need to show off what GOD has put in our heart. A leader speaks less and does more. By the influence Nehemiah had on people, people would understand his action plan. A leader’s actions speak louder than their words.
Practical Living: The burden on your heart should transform into an action plan. And, wait for GOD’s perfect time to bring into execution what GOD has entrusted you with.
