As we went through the book of Nehemiah, we saw different qualities that are essential in the life of a leader. Nehemiah emerged as a leader in a time when Jerusalem lay in shame and agony. Sometimes, GOD uses unexpected people as leaders to help rebuild HIS city from its pathetic condition. GOD found Nehemiah faithful in the little- the cup-bearer’s job. GOD searches for people whom HE can trust and this is reflected through their commitment to things that might seem unworthy in the eyes of the people.

A leader emerges when the pain of GOD tugs the heart of the person. If you are experiencing a pain about something that is not in order according to GOD, HE surely needs you as a leader to fix it. Prayer must be the driving force behind our decisions and don’t ever take emotional decisions. War on in prayer when enemies rise against you, identify the tactics of the enemies, never try to enter into arguments; instead overcome them with the word of GOD just as JESUS did against Satan.

When GOD calls you to be a leader, make sure to abide in the laws of the LORD. Motivate others to follow GOD than dictating them to follow your commands. Take every step with prayer; people will follow you when they see GOD working through you. Never compromise on anything when it comes to the word of GOD. Stand for the word of GOD even when you may be alone in this regard. Leave a mark behind, for the next generation to follow. You may be considered a person with ulterior motives for making people follow the laws of the LORD, but GOD can use all the hurt and pain to make you a blessing and an example before others.

Be inspired by GOD, take wise decisions, and follow GOD and HIS commands. GOD has greater things in store for your life. Be faithful in your call and let HIS name be glorified through your life.

GOD Bless You!
