Nehemiah, the cup bearer of king Artaxerxes in the Shushan palace, shows many qualities of a true leader. He was the leader of the third and the last group of people who came back to Jerusalem from the expatriation. The meaning of the word Nehemiah is Yahweh comforts.
Before we move further into this, we must know who a leader is. Jesus explained the essence of true leader and leadership in one simple verse-“The greatest among you will be your servant.” Matthew 23:8-12. The attitude of true leadership is a servile mind. Also, a true leader is one who will face troubles from up-front and stays away from the limelight when success comes.
