“Great peace have those who love Your laws, and nothing causes them to stumble.” -Psalm 119:165
The greatest treasure every human desires in their life is peace in a world of chaos. Man tries a lot of methods to find peace, and it only leads them to unpleasant and confusing situations. But a man who pursues and loves the law of the LORD has great peace or peace in abundance. The Psalmist mentions the blessings of a child of GOD who loves GOD’s WORD – great peace and stability in life.
When a worldly man looks at the path which a child of GOD walks through, it may seem broken and not stable. When they compare our lives with theirs, they may see no stability. But it’s not the path that you go that makes you stable, but your love for GOD and HIS word that keeps you standing strong. As the Psalmist says in Psalm 46, as GOD is our refuge and strength, no storm in this world can drown us in the raging situations of our lives. Though the path may be unstable, we stand firm by the grace of GOD.
If the storms of this world haven’t strengthened us in our faith and helped us experience great peace from GOD, we need to check our relationship with GOD. If we are moved by the storms of this world, our anchor in the LORD is not strong. Murmur, and words of unbelief are signs that show that our anchor is not firm.
Pause for a moment and analyze your life. Are you able to experience the peace of GOD? If not, come back to the presence of the LORD, to experience great peace and stability that comes by trusting Him and His promises!
