James 1: 9-11

“Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,

but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.

For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.”

Equality is prime within the church and the families. There must never have a disparity or discrimination based on wealth or power. God can change situations within no time.

Also, God wants us to be content in what we have. Either rich or poor, be humble and boast in what the Lord has done for us! Our praises must not mean from our belongings as the wealth and the fancies fade away just like a flower. The poor have to give thanks as God will raise him and the rich have to be humble. In both cases, humbleness is a prime factor.

The beauty of the flowers brings joy to all but they have a short life. They will be blown away if the sunrise with a burning heat on them and they are no more. When Jesus comes in the sky to gather us. The works of our hands will burn away in a flash and what we invest for eternity will sustain. As Matthew says in Matthew 6: 19-21, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” If wealth brings joy to your life, remember you have to stand before the LORD and being poor brings you to murmur against God, remember you have to stand for the judgment. Our materialistic conditions must never affect our spirituality because they will soon fly away and what we invest for eternity will sustain.
