James 4:17
“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (Vs. 17).
James is coming back to the practicality of Christian life through this verse again. To do good things, we must have an open and helping heart. A heart that has no Jesus may do things for a while, but, they may give up as they don’t get what they expect from others. James is telling us to have a heart like Jesus- to do things without any expectations. And also, it is about responding to the guidance of GOD as well. The attitude by which we respond to the instincts of the Holy Spirit matters as He knows our intentions and motives behind all our works. Executing His command without a happy heart is similar to not doing it.
If we are ready to help others unconditionally, GOD will honor our steps.
