Our sermons/exhortations are filled with the name Satan more than we use the name of the Almighty God. Sometimes I have felt as if the Christian Churches became a messenger of Satan as we are giving more emphasis to his schemes and tactics rather than focusing on relying on God to have a victorious Christian life. Yes, we need to resist the devil, but, the context in which resisting the devil comes in line with the spiritual battle. We focus on the material aspects and if something gets delayed, we start to blame Satan, and also, we forget to analyze ourselves (whether we are living in holiness, purity, or in doctrinal stability) according to the Word of God. We should look for the things above rather than focusing on how to make our life ‘comfortable’ on this earth. In addition, the believers fear satan more than God as our sermons ‘praise’ him as well. The sermons of the Apostles had contexts about satan but, their prime focus was the kingdom of God! Why are we drifting to ‘another gospel’ when we have content to preach about the unfathomable agape love of Jesus Christ.
