One fine Wednesday morning, Leah was really excited as it was her cousin’s wedding day. She dressed up well and started for the ceremony with her family. After the function, just like every other girl, she picked some roses from the car that was decorated for the bride and clicked selfies as well.
Days went by, suddenly one of her aunties passed away. The family attended the funeral and with they came back home with a heavy heart.
As they reached home, her dad asked Leah, “There were a lot of roses and other flowers, why didn’t you pick them and click selfies?”
Leah was surprised on hearing this question. She replied, “Dad, it was placed on a dead body and if I grab them and take a selfie, people will think I am mad.”
“So, life is what matters!” Dad replied.
Leah didn’t understand, but still she managed to smile and went to her room.
Dear reader, you may be a pastor, a worship leader, or an active member of a church and you might be doing a lot of things for the LORD. But are you doing it with the life of GOD within you or are you just doing things out of past experiences? The same flowers when kept on a dead body lost its value in the eyes of Leah! The life that dwells in us matters or reflects in our ministry. A ministry without the life/relationship with GOD can never impact others. It is not on our strength that things work, but its is the Spirit of the LORD dwelling in us.
Check the vitals of your spiritual life daily. Is it in a healthy state or is it in trauma? The people who may have accepted your ministry or good works are now neglecting you maybe because your spiritual life is in trauma. Wake up before it is too late and come back to life. Get down on on your knees and come back to the love of the Father. Our every effort is accounted as zero if we don’t carry the essence of His love. Turn to GOD and allow GOD to mend your heart. Let His love be the driving force of your ministry. Let His will lead and let His glory be revealed in your life!
GOD bless you!
